In short: All Chess Positions does not ask for, collect or sell personal data. This page explains what happens when you visit it.

What the site keeps
- There are no accounts, no forms and no tracking of our own, and the site itself sets no cookies.
- The map remembers three settings in your browser’s local storage: your language, whether sound is on, and whether you have seen the tour. They stay on your device and are never sent to us; clearing the site’s data in your browser removes them.
- Games you paste as PGN are read in your browser and sent nowhere.
Services the site uses
- Cloudflare delivers the site. To do that and to protect it from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and request details, and may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. See the Google privacy policy.
- Lichess. If you load a game by pasting a lichess.org link, your browser fetches it directly from lichess.org; nothing is sent there otherwise. See the Lichess privacy policy.
Advertising
To cover its costs, the site may show ads served by Google AdSense. When it does:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
- Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before these cookies are used.

Your rights
Under data protection laws such as the EU’s GDPR and Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, No. 6698), you can ask what personal data is held about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
